WOW!!! It's been almost a year since I wrote on here and boy have things changed. I actually had to go back and re-read the last few posts to see what was going on.
So what has happened since I moved to BR, the big city. Well I got a wonderful job at a wonderful credit union and learned a new side of the credit union. I also spent the first half of 2013 learning to be a CCUFC and I'm so freaking proud of that accomplishment - just received my plague!!!
In March we put our house up for sale hoping that we could finalize our move to the big city. And in the first month we had an offer! YAY us I can finally go house hunting.
In all this, Hoss's company was sold to another guy and changes were coming. And not changes we were necessarily happy to see.
And then the house offer failed. We just couldn't come to terms. After that the house just started to falter, no showings and definitely no offers.
Our babies, well, they were having a hard time adjusting to city/apartment life. And a few hours a day at the dog park just wasn't enough.
So while I was loving my job but not the logistics of the big city. Hoss LOVED BR but the job wasn't quite what he thought. And the pups just loved us so it didn't matter.
then **Ring, Ring, Ring** opportunity came a-calling. Our renters moved out and the renter found a new job in a new city and Hoss's dream job came back up. And those bosses decided what Hoss wanted in his life was what they wanted in terms of money and officiating. So a little over a year after Hoss told me we were moving to the big city, we decided it was time to move back home.
And I moved on faith. I applied to one job and one job only for a mid-sized CU in the area, placed a few strategic emails and calls and turn in my notice to give me a week of vacation between job and potential or no job. In which I turned 30!! And lo and behold, it was a vacation between jobs.
So year 30 started with moving back, getting back with family, leaving my awesome new friends and old ones from college. But the loss of friends was worth it. I'm even more fulfilled in my job and so is Hoss (or at least that's what he has told me)
So I started my 30s with Hoss and a dear friend from college who I hated saying goodbye to later that week. One thing about the big city, it was freeing but I'm trying to take that back with me since I've been home. I have to maintain certain things but I can still be the person I showed in BR and be truer to myself than ever before.
I hadn't reconnected with old friends from here but I can't say that's a bad thing. A few years ago things changed and I don't know what happened so I've moved forward again and have found a good niche with my co-workers at both places.
I still miss my friends from BR but that's the beauty of today's friendships and the internet, you aren't ever that far away.
And our next chapter in our life has started!!
This was supposed to be a family blog about the newly Mc5's (We are now 5 people/puppies strong!) written by the 2 people: E-beth and Hoss. But it's becoming more of ramblings of E-beth's head.
Disclaimer: the only thing real in it, is the direct dealings of the family. If from E-beth only listen to the pictures. She ♥ her head and lives in it. Hoss is a journalist and has no fiction bone in his body :)

It has flown!
Time - what happened to it? It's been almost two months since I last wrote and it seems like yesterday that I wrote it, but this year has just flown also!
So what's happened - well I quit my job in Alex with no job in my future and the Wednesday before I went to being a house-wife (which I was totally looking forward to if I wasn't so concerned with money), I get offered a job with a Cu in BR. So I started immediately - no really the following Monday - which was crazy, should have taken a week or so off but whatever. I think I'm finally getting settled, but it's been a change. My hours are longer, my commute is horrible (Thanksgiving Eve - 1.5 hrs to get home when normally it's like 30 minutes/15 on a great day). Still trying to find a routine between the extra hour at my full time job, 30 minute commute, apartment living which means dogs to the park, doing my paper job (yep kept that because it should be easy money) and doing work around the house. Seriously -- how to mom's do this - like mine who is freakin awesome to work full time, raise three kids, clean the house and still have a hot meal on the table for us and dad. It's ridiculous! I can't seem to figure it out.
Got an early Christmas gift though - a BREAD MACHINE! and I've been loving it and I think Hoss has too (and according to him so have the pups). Sandy just celebrated her 4 year with us and birthday. My little puppy is growing up. I miss that small little weed.
We've kind of started house hunting. We have an idea of the area we want to live in so it will just be a matter of time - finding out what is going to happen to our house in Alex and where Hoss will be working.
So I'm settling in and Hoss is adjusting to not being a batchelor anymore :)

Day 1, 11 to go
Well it's official. I quit my job. In two weeks, I'll be jobless but happy. I'll finally be with my hubby and pups after three? four months? It's time, job or no job.
So I'll finally be leaving my parents' home and making it BR for good. Not leaving Sunday to come back to P-ville with my heart breaking. And I'm freaking excited! I can handle being a house-wife... surely... can't be that hard with no babies just puppies who have cages. I know how to clean, I just don't like to but I can handle a tiny apartment. And cooking - sure I can figure it out again.
*sigh* It will be just good to be home. Now to make the next 11 days, fly (though I only have 8 days of work assuming I have no job interview before that)
