E=Mc5: August 2014

So I've decided blogging is for people who have no jobs or a maid or just better than me. Almost another year has passed since I last wrote something. We've tried to settle back and a year later mom and dad shoved our junk out of their storage building and so we are having to unpack finally :)
My birthday just happened (hence the title) and Hoss decided that I needed not one but 2 (TWO!!!) kittens. WT!!! They are really sweet but I totally did NOT want them. I was happy with my pups so now this Mc family is 7.
The best story of this was when we told mom, I wouldn't tell her. See mom is allergic to cats and I grew up not liking them but Hoss loves animals. So I told him, you get them, you have to tell you mother-in-law. When he started to tell her, I was backing up. She honestly thought we were going to tell them we were pregnant!! I quickly told her, I think the reason we have 2 kits are because I'm not and Hoss's daddy instincts are kicking in.
what else has happened.... got a new front porch and a deck out in the back. Next year we will tackle a new fence. Looking to install a new vanity in the bathroom just have to get the funds. Went to Disney World with my parents and oldest brother's kids. LOADS of FUN!! Well after we made one nephew cry (but that was partly fun :) see why we don't have kids ourselves)
We also went back to EdgeFest in Dallas, and realized we totally were not college kids anymore. Loved the music, hate the weed and the talking of it from the announcers and the kids there (the musicians weren't quite as bad).
