That could stand for divorce (Hoss and I don't work well together), disaster or the typical big event idea. Ugh...this weekend was AWESOME and SUCKED at the same time.
Friday - bright and early - my mom and dad came (YAY!!) and helped me lay down the new flooring for the girls. See they were supposed to keep the girls and I lay it down myself but they forgot and made out of town plans. To make up for it, mom decided to come and help (whoo hoo!) and dad ending up getting off and coming (WHOO HOO!!!!). By 11, dad was moving the washer and dryer... and then it went down hill. See about every two weeks I HAVE to wash clothes so Hoss had to plug up the washer and dryer before we layed the floor. Obviously something happened in the set up or when I washed and the washer leaked all over my floor.
No biggie, it'll dry. Surely Saturday morning -- 24 hour later I can lay the 8 STINKING pieces left... so dad finished up around the hot water heater and they left. Whoo hoo! Mostly done with only two pipes to cut around. I'm in good shape!
Saturday morning: floor not dry. Ok no biggie. The fan is going, door open, anything I can think of to dry it. Hoss and I go shopping! I need quarter round to finish the room and I want some shelving so the pups can have the full floor. Needed some other things from about 5 other places. 4 p.m. -- floor still not dry. Ok frustrated but still workable. I tend the flower beds, clean the baseboards, and ask Hoss to put up the shelves. BIG MISTAKE. Hoss doesn't just do, he plans for hours - I do and fix mistakes if necessary. In these cases I can be more active than him and I get frustrated. I've done these shelves before, no biggie. Hoss, apparently biggie. Fighting ensues. Shelving gets down eventually and floors still not dry. Now I'm mad!
Finally, 48 hours later, the floors are dry enough I'm laying that floor down. It was a long and trying weekend but it's done. I'll post pics when the quarter round get put down -- here's to hoping for Wednesday or Thursday, latest Sunday.
This was supposed to be a family blog about the newly Mc5's (We are now 5 people/puppies strong!) written by the 2 people: E-beth and Hoss. But it's becoming more of ramblings of E-beth's head.
Disclaimer: the only thing real in it, is the direct dealings of the family. If from E-beth only listen to the pictures. She ♥ her head and lives in it. Hoss is a journalist and has no fiction bone in his body :)

DIY Weekend #2
It was weekend #2 on the floor project. Got what I wanted done (practically). there is about a sliver or two left of the glue. Also my parents' came, somewhat unexpectedly, Saturday and Bret and dad put in two new flower beds to line the walkway. And I must say, it looks awesome! Mom and I planted some flowers and today I finished the planting some bulbs in my daylily bed.
The floors. Tiny little spot near the door is all I have left and I'll get to clean them up well and in two weeks, I'm laying down some flooring!!! Super excited.
So the flower bed closest to our house is the daylily bed and I planted some Dahlia's to add to the bed.
The bed closest to the road has a mixture, today I added some more African Daisies, and there are some geraniums and something else, I can't remember. It's going to be beautiful! If I don't kill them. I normally stick to my daylilies because you can't kill them. Next I'll get some solar lights to light it up and my front yard will be done!

Long road...
Been a hard day today for the female Mc, not sure about the male Mc. To make it short and sweet apparently one bad time means the end of years.
Anyways, we got to go see our baby and take some new pics:
He's a rascal but I already love him and ready to have a new best friend!
